The term "laundered" means that the fabric has been washed directly by the manufacturer. This professional washing process softens the linen, making it more pleasant to the touch. It also gives it a slightly weathered look, less stiff than raw linen. The fabric becomes more stable and shrinks much less afterwards. It offers a more fluid drape and better quality upon receipt. This is a real advantage for sewing and for the comfort of the finished product.
